Facilities, Personnel, and Operations Update

Fitness, Sports and Tennis Policy Reminder:

The Bay Club goes through great efforts to give our members a safe and enjoyable exercise experience. To accomplish this, our tennis and athletic instructors, and trainers are interviewed and extensively vetted regarding their experience, expertise, and background to allow our members to choose from a topflight instructional staff.

To maintain such standards, the Bay Club’s Membership Guidelines restrict “Formal, personal, or group instruction with regard to fitness and sports training, including tennis, by any individuals other than authorized Bay Club staff.”

We ask that all members be respectful of this policy. Violations of the policy could affect the memberships of both those offering and receiving unauthorized instruction, including the suspension or termination of memberships.

Please contact your Club if you have any questions regarding this policy. Thank you for your cooperation.

Etiquette Reminders

Locker Room Etiquette
As a reminder, cell-phone, laptops and iPad use is absolutely prohibited in the locker rooms, including the sauna, steam room. Please do your part to respect other members using the facilities.

Swimming Etiquette
It is required to rinse your body in the showers before entering the pools. Additionally, if there is a wait time for the pool you are limited to 30-minutes of swim time.

Cell Phone Use
Use has an impact on the quality of the member experience and their privacy. Cell phone use is permitted only in the Main Lobby. Please refrain from conversing on speaker phone or FaceTime in public gathering spaces. Silent cell phone use only (no phone calls) is permitted on the fitness floor. Cell phone use is also not permitted in the locker rooms or the group exercise studios.

Fitness Floor Etiquette
The Club reserves the right to deny the use of the Fitness Center to anyone not willing or able to use fitness equipment properly and safely. Shirts and closed-toe shoes are always required. As a courtesy to others, please return mats and weights to their designated areas, place trash and towels in the appropriate receptacles, and limit your cardio workout to 30 minutes when others are waiting for a machine. Additionally, we ask that you allow others to work in when using strength training equipment. If you need to answer a text or call, we kindly ask that you remove yourself from the fitness floor and head to the lobby.

Marin

Men’s Steam Room
The Men’s Steam Room will be closed until the end of the month as we make improvements to our water proofing. We appreciate your patience as we work through these improvements.
