Dear Member,

So many new members to welcome to the Club and our newsletter—happy you’re here!

Monthly Mentions

Last edition, we talked about the importance of community—and today’s edition is no different. Study after study has shown that social connection is essential for us to thrive. We are social creatures, after all.

Community is crucial to health and well-being for so many reasons. Let’s count the ways…

  1. Physical Health – People adopt healthier habits when they are supported by others. Take that class together. Hit the courts together. And enjoy that yummy salad together.
  2. Sense of Purpose – A key factor in longevity is purpose. Engaging with your community fosters a more positive outlook.
  3. Mental Health – Active participation in a community can reduce anxiety and feelings of loneliness.
  4. Sense of Belonging – Feeling connected to a community creates a sense of identity.
  5. Motivation – Being a part of a community can inspire and motivate us. Encouragement from others can make achieving goals more attainable.

We could keep going but you get the idea—communities help people thrive.

At the Bay Club, we are all about community—your community. That’s why we launched Shared Membership, and that’s why we’re beta testing its expansion.

This month, we’re increasing the number of people on your membership from 6 to 8. As we roll this out, we’re listening and learning: Does having more people on your membership create the experience you’re looking for?

From expanding your pickleball crew, to adding your kids’ friends or including more family members, now through March 31, you can have up to 8 people on your Shared Membership.*

Check out some of our Associates talking about the roll-out in this video.

Let us know what you think. Hope to see you (and your community) at the Club soon.

P.S. One more thing to do together? Eat a Protein Bagel. I promise your community will thank you! (Did you like that transition?) If you haven’t already, you must try the protein-packed Cottage Cheese Bagel that’s all the rage right now—thank you, Bethenny.

3 Ways to Bring a Guest
(We love when you bring your Community)

We are so excited about our recent updates to Shared Membership, now allowing for up to 8 people on one membership, so you can grow your Bay Club community even more! In addition, we wanted to share some updated information about how you can bring a guest to the Club and some adjustments on how you can manage your membership.

  1. Add someone to your membership any time.* If a change is needed, requests will now align to the primary members change policy which is a calendar month notice. For instance, if your request to remove someone is submitted and confirmed in May, the month of June is counted as your months’ notice, and your participant’s membership would end the last day of June.
  2. Use your complimentary Guest Pass, which will expire in the month it is issued.
  3. Pay a Guest Fee. Yes, we lowered the fee to $25 and made it consistent across all our clubs.

To learn more about these updates, watch our quick video.
The above adjustments will go into effect starting May 1, 2025.

Be on the lookout for more communication about Shared Membership coming soon and thank you for being a part of our community!
