Your Weekly Marin Clubs Update: July 10, 2023
Dear Member,
Monthly Mentions
On a Roll – Yes, we are! Had to share a little of what we have been up to… A new strength floor at Walnut Creek; new pickleball courts at Fremont + SF Gateway; robots making smoothies at Redwood Shores + San Francisco (oh my!); new players’ lounge at Stonetree. And we are just getting started. Hats off to our very busy Construction and Development team; we appreciate you!
Perks + Partnership – As you know, we introduce a new Perk every month. This is a Bay Club Member only deal on a product that we know and love. No kickbacks or incentives, just sharing our favorite things while negotiating some great deals for you. We see the volume build every month, so we will keep these going! We will also be introducing “Friend of the Bay Club” this month. These are longer-term partnerships with businesses that we believe in and think you will too. Stay tuned!
Wellness Corner
This is a fun one. I asked three Functional Medicine Doctors, “If you could only take 1 supplement, which one would it be?”. After much hemming and hawing, all three had the same answer–Omega-3!
In plain English, these powerful supplements are a family of fatty acids that are primarily found in higher-fat fish. They reduce inflammation, promote cardiovascular health, protect your brain, and help prevent metabolic syndrome and chronic diseases. Sign me up!
Fact: 90%+ of Americans are deficient. But before you jump onto Amazon or run to CVS, let’s make sure you are buying a high-quality version–one that is free of mercury and other contaminants. Look for reputable companies that certify their products are free from heavy metals and pesticides. Most recommend taking 1000 mg of fish oil twice a day.
A few to shop: Nordic Naturals Pro-Omega or Life Extension Super Omega-3. As always, please speak to your healthcare professional before starting any new supplements.
Spotlight
Please help us congratulate our very own Pablo Fajre for his selection as the Head Coach for USA’s Racquetball Team for the Pan Am Games this October in Chile. We are lucky to have Pablo’s coaching every day at our Pleasanton location.
Ponder This
“So the question is, distinct from the story you and others tell about yourself, how do you make people feel? When people come in contact with you, do they feel insecure or inspired? Do you leave people cold or comforted? Do you bring joy, harmony, love?”
