The Quad Portland: February 17, 2025
Dear Member,
So many new members to welcome to the Club and our newsletter—happy you’re here!

Today’s edition is all about wellness at work. Have you heard that sitting is the new smoking? Yikes. As Bay Club regulars, we already have an advantage, but for those hours we do spend in an office (whether at home or elsewhere), there are several things we can do to stay well while we work.
Change Positions
To avoid strain or injury, change your position often. It’s sitting or standing in the same position for hours on end that causes issues. Need a reminder? Set an alarm to switch it up every 30 minutes.
Get Moving
Schedule a walking meeting or take the stairs whenever possible. If you have a moment, sneak in a few squats. Stuck in a loooong meeting? Stand up and stretch now and then.
Stay Hydrated
Get your drink on. Water, water with lemon…maybe even an LMNT electrolyte mix (no sugar, of course). I also love a good organic decaf green tea.
Eat Healthy
Planning ahead is key. I always keep a snack bag stocked with Kroma Wellness Bone Broths (delicious and protein-rich), Pique Matcha, and dried fruits—easy, portable, and keeps me going throughout the day.
Clear Your Mind
Take 10-20 minutes to meditate. Find a quiet spot and give your mind the break it needs—you may be surprised at the boost of energy it gives you. Need a guided meditation? Calm and Headspace are great options to try.
