A Little T.LC.

I recently saw an article titled “sitting is the new smoking” and it hit me hard. Hours of commuting, hours on Zoom or sitting at a desk. It’s a reality for most of us…What do we do about it? I summoned my wellness community for tips and wanted to share.

One of the top back doctors that we work with said it is all about changing positions throughout the day. When I am working from home, I now set an alarm for every 30 minutes. I go from working at a standing desk, to a sitting desk, to a counter. I just keep changing my position, therefore avoiding repetitive stress injuries, and it keeps my body guessing.

Every few hours, get some movement in. Even a 15-minute walk is good for the mind, body, and soul. I just purchased a walking pad ($150 on Amazon) to use in between meetings, and I get a few steps in, so the weather is no longer an excuse.

Of course, we hope you are getting to the club for exercise, recovery, and stretch!

Kids’ Night in the Restaurant
Wednesdays | 4:00 pm-9:00 pm
Families, come on up to the restaurant! One child will eat free for each paying adult. See you there!

Trivia Night
Thursday, March 28 | 6:30 pm
Come on up to the restaurant and test your knowledge during our monthly Trivia Night! Bring a friend and we’ll see you there.

Family Fun Friday
Friday, March 29 | 4:00 pm-9:00 pm
We put the fun in Friday! Each month, our restaurant will feature an adult and kids buffet based on a different cuisine that matches the location of the movie! Regular menu items still available. Movie begins at 5:30 pm.

Bunny Brunch
Saturday, March 30 | 10:00 am-1:00 pm
Get the family together for brunch and photos with the Easter Bunny! Enjoy a free mimosa for each adult signed up, and there’s a hot cocoa bar for all! Beer and wine are available for purchase. Sign up here.

Power & Pedal
Mondays & Wednesdays | 10:30 am
Get ready to experience the ultimate combination of strength training and cycling. Become stronger and increase your cardiovascular endurance while having a good time doing it!

High Fitness
Thursdays | 10:30 am
High Fitness is the combination of aerobic and anaerobic training choreographed to great music we all know and love! This zero equipment, full body workout can improve your overall endurance, stamina, strength, and cardiovascular health.

Boxing
Saturdays | 9:00 am-9:50 am
This full body workout with Trainer Lawrence Martin includes bag work, boxing, and footwork to improve strength and much more! $20 per person per class. Enroll on Connect.
