Your Weekly Portland Club Update: June 17, 2024
Dear Member,
Welcome to The Quad, your bi-monthly Club newsletter that covers all things happening at the Bay Club, plus a little extra.
Today’s edition is all about Summer Camp. And there’s no one better to help me share what’s in store this summer than my camp partner in crime, Anne Wharton. From the swings of clubs, paddles and racquets to the swim splashes, games, and sunny shouts of joy, our team is beyond excited to welcome you to another unforgettable season of Summer Camps.
With sports academies and diverse camp theme weeks (like Superhero Training, The Olympics, Wizardry & Magic, and more), there’s definitely something for everyone to love. Not to mention, pool slides, relays, Friday Fun, arts & crafts, and new friends. Ah, to be a kid again…
When we asked our team members what they loved the most about camps and summer, it quickly turned into a session of ‘Remember When’.
I remember:
- The perfect cannonball
- Sitting poolside wrapped in a towel, eating popsicles with my besties
- Bringing home 3rd place in the relay race (not bad!)
- Running through the sprinklers
- Marco? Polo?Watermelon eating contests (hope it was organic)
- The smell of hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill
- Scavenger hunt dives for treasure in the pool
- Slip ‘N Slides! (we promise ours are safer than ones we had as kids!)
- Making new friends and forever bonds
- And of course…Flip Cup (we will save that for another “Remember When”)
These are just a few highlights from our team to help kick off the excitement for what we all love most about summer, and for all the fun that’s yet to come this season at camp. For more information and to register for Summer Camps click here.
