So begins the Christmas countdown! With the holiday fast approaching, we’re so excited to celebrate with you all the festive fun we have planned for the upcoming weeks. Join us for special classes, family events, and holiday parties through the month of December.

What’s Happening at the Club This Week?

Bay Club San Francisco:

Bay Club San Francisco | Free Guest Friday
Friday, December 2
Bring your family and friends along with you to Bay Club.

12 Days of Fitness
Thursday, December 1–December 24
Participate in 12 classes between December 1–December 24. Sign-ups begin the last week of November. Stay tuned for more details on how to participate.

Squash Round-Robin
Friday, December 2 | 5:15 pm–9:00 pm
Enjoy an evening of Squash Round-Robin.

Winter Basketball League | Sign-Ups Are Now Open
The League starts on January 16 and will run for six weeks on Mondays (A-League) and Wednesdays (B-League) with games from 6:00 pm–10:00 pm. Please complete the required form here by January 7, 2023. Spots are limited. Contact basketball.bcsf@bayclubs.com with any questions.

Bay Club Gateway | Wreathing Workshop
Wednesday, November 30 | 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
Join our Wreathing Workshop with instructor Genevieve. And mingle with friends while making beautiful holiday wreaths for your home. The cost includes materials, lite bites, and refreshments. Winter Break Camp | Sign-Up Now
It’s not too late to sign your kiddo up for Winter Break camp. December 19-23 and December 26-30. Flexible date options are available for them to enjoy tennis, swimming, pickleball, arts and crafts and making new friends. December First Friday Happy Hour and Free Guest Day
Friday, December 2
Bring your family and friends along with you to Bay Club. Later, join us for our First Friday Member Social from 5:00 pm–7:00 pm featuring Hurry Curry.

After-School Aquatics
Don’t miss our December After-School Aquatics programs. Available for registration at Bay Club Connect under “Sports & Fitness Clinics.” Swim School now offered until December 22. Register now.

– Swim School | Mondays through Fridays, 3:30 pm6:00 pm with beginner to advanced classes offered daily. Visit Bay Club Connect for more information.

– Swim Team | At Gateway and Bay Club San Francisco. Practices are held two to three days per week for up to two hours, with coach Julie. Visit the Bay Club Connect for more information.

Holiday Private Events
Host your office holiday party or team building event at Gateway this month. We’ll do the planning from hosting your kiddo’s birthday party, organizing a pickleball event or tennis clinic with your co-workers. December Frequent Fitness Challenge
Starting Thursday, December 1
Participate in our December Frequent Fitness Challenge. The top-three members with the most check-ins during the month of December will win Bay Club merchandise.

Bagel Thursdays
Start your day bright and early with complimentary bagels in the Lobby.

Etiquette Reminder
Cell phone use has an impact on the quality of the member experience and their privacy. Cell phone use is permitted only in the Main Lobby. Please refrain from conversing on speaker phone or FaceTime in public gathering spaces. Silent cell phone use only (no phone calls) is permitted on the fitness floor. Cell phone use is also not permitted in the locker rooms or the group exercise studios.

Bay Club South San Francisco:

The holidays are coming to South San Francisco. Come check out our festive decorations and donate to the Toys for Tots charity program. More details available at the Front Desk. Pickleball and Pastries is happening every Wednesday at 9:00 am. Come and enjoy a friendly game or two, and sweets on us.

What’s Happening This Weekend

Bay Club San Francisco | Complimentary Youth Basketball Fundamentals
Sunday, December 4 | Ages 6–14
Come join us for the complimentary Clinic where your kiddo can learn the fundamentals of basketball. For ages 614. To sign up, email basketball.bcsf@bayclubs.com.

Bay Club South San Francisco | Sunday Challenge Court
Sundays 1:00 pm–4:00 pm
Join us every Sunday where Weston Reese will host round-robin rotational doubles play.

Operations Update

Bay Club Gateway Lap Pool | Closed November 21 – December 9
– Please be advised that the Lap Pool at Bay Club Gateway will be closed for deck resurfacing beginning Monday, November 21 through Friday,
December 9.

– The Recreational Pool (warm pool) will remain open for use during this time, as will the pools at Bay Club San Francisco.

– Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Swim Team will be moved to Bay Club San Francisco during this short time.

– Swim School and private lessons are back at Bay Club Gateway.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this project.

Your Courtesy and Consideration is Appreciated
We appreciate your common courtesy in the club.

Please Remember:
– To ensure there’s plenty of clean towels stocked and ready for use while in the Club, please drop off your used towels in any of the towel return bins.

Swim Team Practice Update
Swim team practices will only be happening at Bay Club San Francisco due to the lap pool deck resurfacing.

Children Supervision
Please make sure that all children are supervised. Kids may not be in the locker rooms alone. Thank you for your participation in keeping everyone safe.

Etiquette Reminders: 

Swim Team Families: Please remember that all children must be supervised in the locker rooms or while they are waiting for their lesson. No child of the opposite gender, over four years old is allowed in the locker rooms. Please ask an associate at the Front Desk to show you the Gender-Neutral Restroom located by the cardio machines.

Rooftop Etiquette: As we enter the Winter and Spring months, the Roof may be closed due to weather. We ask that you please read and follow signage and do not go on the Roof if it is closed. It is for the safety of all members. 

Locker Room Etiquette: As a reminder, cell-phone use is absolutely prohibited in the locker rooms, including the Sauna, Steam Room, and Hot Tub. Please do your part to respect other members using the facilities.

Swimming Etiquette: It is required to rinse your body in the showers before entering the pools. Additionally, if there is a wait time for the Pool you are limited to 30-minutes of swim time.

Parking Garage Etiquette: Please remember to place your parking slip face up on your cars dashboard displaying your member number while you are parked in the Bay Club Parking Garage. As a reminder, members and guests using the facilities are allowed to park in the garage up to three hours.

Holiday Happiness Toy Drive

Join us in supporting Toys for Tots now through December 20th. For other fun and easy ways to bring happiness to a child in our community this season, keep reading!

3 Easy Ways to Donate

–  Bring a brand-new, unopened, unwrapped toy of your choice to the club and place it in the Toys for Tots box.

–  Don’t know what toy to buy? Pick up one of our gift-idea tags at the Club and shop for the toy listed on the tag.

–  Simply fill out this form with your donation amount. All monetary donations will be used to purchase a brand-new toy that will be donated to Toys for Tots.

About Toys for Tots
The 2022 holiday season marks the 75th anniversary of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program! For over seven decades, the program has delivered hope and the magic of Christmas to over 281 million children.

Our goal this year is to help Toys for Tots in their mission by delivering 6,500 toys across our Bay Club communities.

Ways to Get Involved
– Sign up to help us shop for toys at a local toy store
(see Front Desk for sign up).
– Join us for our Holiday Celebration.

Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity. Donations are tax deductible. For toy purchases under $250 your store receipt is acceptable for IRS donation. For cash donations Bay Club will email a receipt for your donation by December 31,2022.
