Today marks the official first day of fall—which means shorter days, longer nights, and a good excuse to shake things up. Here are 10 simple ways to reset, recharge, and feel your best this season:
- Adjust Your Sleep Schedule
As the light shifts, so can your routine. Try going to bed a bit earlier to align with the natural light cycles. - Add Fall Produce to the Mix
Squash, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes. Don’t forget your warming spices like cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger! - Refresh Your Fitness
Challenge yourself by trying a new class or adding a new move to your strength-training lineup. Small changes can spark big motivation and momentum. - Boost Your Vitamin D
Shorter days mean less sun, so aim for 15–20 minutes outside when you can—or consider a high-quality supplement to keep your energy steady. - Layer in Gratitude
Fall naturally slows us down—take a moment each day to jot down one thing you’re thankful for. It’s a small practice that makes a big difference. (I’m a big fan of my 5-Minute Gratitude Journal.) - Learn Something New
Shorter evenings are perfect for picking up a new skill—whether that’s cooking with fall flavors, trying meditation, or reading that book you’ve been putting off. Here’s the viral Caramelized Banana Iced Latte recipe we’ve been seeing everywhere. - Declutter Your Space
As we start spending more time indoors, clear out what you don’t need. A tidy space sets the stage for a clearer mind. - Hydrate with Intention
Cooler weather can trick us into drinking less water. Keep a bottle handy, and add a slice of citrus or cucumber to mix it up. - Plan a Cozy Ritual
Maybe it’s tea before bed, Sunday soup-making, or a candlelit stretch session. Build in something that signals “slow down.” - Stay Connected
Shorter days can feel isolating. Make it a point to schedule time with friends, family, or your community. Connection is fuel!
