The month of May is far from over, and there is still much more to come at the Club. Memorial Day is around the corner, which means barbecues and fun at the pool. And with swimming season coming up, make sure to enroll your family in some swimming lessons! Stop by and see what’s new—and don’t forget to enroll the kids in Bay Club summer camp before we’re full. Spots are filling up quickly, so enroll soon! We can’t wait to spend Memorial Day Weekend with you and your family to kick off another amazing summer at the Bay Club.

Tour de Pier is Almost Here!
The 10th Annual Tour de Pier this Sunday, May 22. The Bay Club is happy to return as a sponsor of this wonderful event, which benefits cancer research. Enjoy stationary cycling while admiring Manhattan Beach’s breathtaking views of the ocean all while cycling for a great cause. Help us reach $10 million in 10 years. Sunday Funday—It’s Back!

Hello, giant waterslide! We’ve missed you! Come take a ride on the slide this Memorial Day Weekend. We’ll have floaties, games, music, and of course food and drink specials. No reservations are needed.

Memorial Day Pool Party
Monday, May 30 | 12:00 pm–3:00 pm
Splish, splash—we’re going to have a blast! We’ll be celebrating Memorial Day poolside. What can be better than music, games, food and drink specials, floaties, and the return of the giant lilypads! (If you don’t know about the lilypads, get your balance skills ready for some fun activity in the pool!) No reservations are needed.

Our Calcutta tournament kicks off with a Welcome to the Jungle party! Full buffet with a live auction to purchase teams. The party is available to players and non-players. $45++ Reminder: Regular dinner service will be suspended for the evening.

Kids’ Culinary Night: Pizza Making
Wednesday, May 25 | 5:00 pm-7:00 pm
It’s time to turn food into art. Kids will have fun creating their own unique pizzas, perfect for our budding chefs!

Calcutta Camp

Movie Night: “Turning Red”
Saturday, May 28
One of our last movie nights of the school year will be a special one “under the stars” in the Ballroom. We will be showing Pixar’s new movie “Turning Red”. This indoor camping adventure encourages kids to come in pajamas and bring sleeping bags or small tents (or reserve one of our small tents)!

Calcutta This Weekend!
Our biggest tennis tournament of the year is almost here with a “Welcome to the Jungle” theme. It’s always a great weekend of festivities starting with a Friday night party, Saturday play, and Sunday finals! Not playing? No worries! Come for the Friday night party and buy a team, or just have a great time spectating. As a reminder, the courts will be largely taken this weekend for the Calcutta Tournament. Good luck to all those competing!

Summer Pickleball League
Registration Begins Monday, May 23
Join the fastest-growing sport in the nation. Our leagues are social and fun! Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced divisions are offered for men, women, and seniors. Register on Topdog. If you have any questions, email our Tennis Director, Spencer at spencer.trotta@bayclubs.com.

Parent-Child Tournament
Saturday, June 11
Family fun! Grab your son or daughter and play in our annual Parent-Child round robin! All levels are welcome. Children must be able to serve and play points from the baseline with regulation yellow balls. Register on TopDog. Adult Tennis Clinics
Every Sunday
Register on Bay Club Connect “Fitness Programming”. Our clinics run from 9:00 am-10:30 am and from 10:30 am–12:00 pm. $30/per player, billed to your membership account. Max of 8 players per court.

Facilities Update
We are making progress on our scheduled improvements!

New Pool Furniture Update: We are expecting our new pool furniture by the middle of June, just in time for summer fun!
Cardio Equipment: We’ll be replacing our cardio equipment and adding strength equipment in the next few weeks.
