Your Weekly Manhattan Country Club Update: November 7, 2022

As the first week of November comes to a close, we’ve got so much to look forward to for the rest of the month. From family-friendly programming to sports leagues to football watch parties and beyond, you’re sure to have a blast here at the Bay Club.

What’s Happening at the Club This Week?

Bingo Night
Wednesday, November 9th, 5:00 pm-7:00 pm
Head to the Club for a fun night of bingo and spend time with your family and friends while enjoying dinner at the Terrace Restaurant. Please sign up with the Front Desk or make a reservation on Opentable.

Pickleball Updates
New Pickleball clinics are available on the Bay Club Connect app under Fitness Programming > Racquet Sports
These will be instructional with practice games to hone your skills, lead by our new instructor: Cade Erickson:

  • Intro to Pickleball: First Monday of Each Month (Complimentary)
  • Beginner Clinics: Mondays 10:00 an-11:30 am ($30/clinic)
  • Intermediate Clinics: Thursdays 2:00 pm-3:30 pm, starting November 3 ($30/clinic)

Veteran’s Day Camp
Friday, November 11th, 9:00 am-4:00 pm
No school on Friday? Don’t Sweat it! Come and spend a day with us in Camp with a full day of activities and tennis! Ages 2-12. Sign up on Bay Club Connect.

Thursday, November 17 | 6:00 pm-9:00 pm
Come and enjoy a 5-course meal paired with Far Niente wines. Book your spot on Opentable. $125++ per person.*

Turkey Tennis Tournament
Friday, November 18
Quickstart 3:30 pm-4:30 pm & Tournament from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
Sign up for our biggest Junior Tournament fundraiser at the club! Tourney players must be able to serve and rally to play. Quickstart Clinic is for those that are too young to play points. Please bring a can of food to donate to charity with your entry! Registration is now open on TopDog.

Science Night
Saturday, November 19, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm

Thanksgiving Camp
November 21-25, 9:00 am-4:00 pm
Thanksgiving Camp is now open for registration! The camp will be filled with Tennis, Dodgeball, and Thanksgiving-inspired crafts. Ages 2-12. Register on Bay Club Connect.

Gingerbread House Making Nights
Monday, November 28 and Tuesday, November 29 | 6:00 pm-9:00 pm
Join us for a fun night with the family at our Gingerbread House Making night! Book on OpenTable to reserve your spot.*

New Member Social + Stock your Cellar Event
Wednesday, November 30 | 5:30 pm-7:30 pm

Santa Brunch
Sunday, December 4
It’s that time of the year again! Brunch with Santa will have five seatings this year, be sure to book early as reservations fill up quickly. Adults $70++ | Kids $55++. Book on OpenTable to reserve your spot.*

*All events require a 72-hour written cancellation to avoid charges.

Facilities and Operations Update

Pool Renovation
We are excited to announce that we are renovating our Pool and Pool Deck. Please note that while we enhance the space, all of our pools will be unavailable from Monday, November 7 until Friday, December 2. All swim lessons and swim team will still meet at other locations. Pool Bar Services
During our Pool Renovation timeframe, we will be hosting all of our Pool Bar menu and drinks indoors at our restaurant upstairs. Come and enjoy all of your favorites from 9:00 am-5:00 pm and then dinner service from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you!

Service Fee and Check Verification
Please note that while dining with us there is a service fee included in all of our restaurant checks. This goes to compensate our staff and no additional tips are needed but can be contributed if you would like. We are asking all members to sign their checks for verification of their orders at the close of their dinner service. We appreciate your understanding of this action needed by our serving staff.

Host Your Holiday Parties with Us!
The holiday season is just around the corner, and dates are filling quickly at The Club! Only a few select dates are left. Whether you are planning an intimate party for family and friends or a large corporate gathering, The Club’s experienced catering team is dedicated to making your holidays sparkle. To begin the arrangements, contact Event Manager, Rosie Vargas, at Rosie.Vargas@bayclubs.com.

Member Check In
Members ages 14+ need to check in at the Host Desk with their Bay Club Connect app barcode instead of providing their 4 digit member ID. All members have a designated member ID and need to have their own Bay Club Connect setup for check in and reservation purposes. To get assistance with setting up or logging into the app, please contact blanca.tamayo@bayclubs.com

Guest Passes and Guest Check In
Friendly reminder that complimentary guest passes accrued January-September of this year will expire on December 31, 2022. Your guest pass balance can be found on the home page of your Bay Club Connect account.

Our guest pass policy allows the same guest to visit up to 12 times per calendar year. Please note, all guests must provide a valid photo ID and be registered via our Digital Guest Waiver at the Host Desk. For guests that are minors, an adult member must authorize and sign our Digital Guest Waiver in person or remotely via our Digital Guest Waiver for minor guests that are authorized to use The Club with a member on your account.

  • Select “Member with Minor” – include your Name and Member ID as it appears on your Bay Club Connect homepage
  • Add the guest information including their date of birth

Childcare Reminders
We love our little members and enjoy seeing them having fun using our childcare services! We would like to take the opportunity to remind you of some important childcare policies:

  • Advanced reservations are required. We will only accommodate drop-ins if it is safe to do so.
  • You can make reservations up to 7 days in advance. Please limit reservations to one visit per day.
  • Please arrive promptly at your reservation time. Reservations will be automatically canceled after 15 minutes of the start time and made available to another member.
  • Should you no longer require your reservation, please cancel it as soon as possible on Bay Club Connectunder Bookings. This will free up space for another family.
  • Pick up your child(ren) promptly at the reservation end time. Use of our childcare services may be suspended for repeated violations.

Reminder: as of November 1st:

  • No-shows or reservations canceled less than 24 hours in advance will incur a $25 fee.
