The sun is finally out, which means it’s time to start ensuring your skin is protected. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States with 1 in 5 Americans developing a case by age 70. The most preventable cause of skin cancer is overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. Using a combination of sunscreen plus physical barriers (hats, shirts, etc.) is your best bet.
At the Bay Club, we are big fans of Sun Bum. We have it by the pool, in the shops and always on hand at camps. Sun Bum has all the important frees…cruelty-free, paraben-free, and is Hawaii Reef Compliant. Don’t forget to apply it to the less obvious spots like your feet and your scalp. Lastly, did you know that most adult skin cancer cases are from a burn we sustained as a child? Make sure those kiddos are extra covered up. Let’s have a burn free Spring!

New Spring Basketball League
Wednesdays | 6:00 pm-10:00 pm
Registration is open for our Redwood Shores Spring Basketball League, starting May 1-June 19! Our league caters to players of all skill levels, and runs for 6 weeks of regular season, and 2 weeks for playoffs. Must be 18+ to participate. Lifeguard, CPR, & First-Aid Certification Course
Want to become a lifeguard this summer? To get you ready, we’re hosting a certification course! You must be at least 15 years of age, proficient in the Front Crawl and Breaststroke, and be able to tread water comfortably.
