Your Weekly San Diego Club Update: April 4, 2022

Dear Member,

How are you spending your spring? Did you know World Health Day is this week? At the Bay Club, we are committed to your health and well-being. As we kick off a new month, you can look forward to more training sessions and classes led by instructors who will motivate you to stay on top of your fitness goals. Stop by the Club and let us help you strengthen your mind and body.

Summer Readiness Projects
Summer will soon be here, and we’re sprucing up the campus to get ready! Look forward to a pair of NEW pickleball courts as well as refreshed furnishings around the pool, including new umbrellas and comfier cushions. While we’re setting the stages for summer fun, you can expect some court resurfacing projects and pool maintenance closures that may impact you for a short while. Here’s what’s happening over the next couple of weeks.

  • Today, Monday, April 4: Fairbanks Ranch Tennis Courts 7, 8, and 9 will close for approximately 2 weeks for resurfacing. Pre-construction also begins for Carmel Valley’s court resurfacing project and court availability may be impacted.
  • Monday, April 11: Carmel Valley Tennis Courts 1 & 8 will close for approximately 2 weeks to be converted into dedicated Pickleball Courts. The Carmel Valley Adult Pool will also be closed the week of Monday, April 11 for maintenance and cleaning.

Please note that these dates are subject to change. We apologize for any inconvenience these closures may cause, but we’ll keep you updated on our progress.

Kidding Around
Fresh from the glow of beachfront yoga, Marissa heads back to the mat in this month’s Marissa Tries. This time, she’s joined by furry friends named Doc and Gizmo. Bends and lunges take on a new dimension when paired with the prancing and pawing of little hooves. Yes, it’s goat yoga! Sweet baby goats bring animal magnetism to the studio in this special class held at select locations. They’re so cute, it could be tough to say good baaaaa. See the video here.
