Your Weekly San Diego Club Update: April 18, 2022
Did you know this Friday is Earth Day? Have you had a chance to enjoy the outdoors this spring? Whether you’re swimming, playing tennis, or taking a fitness class, spend some time at the Club and take in some fresh air. We will have more outdoor activities as the weather warms up, so drop by the Club today to see what we have to offer.
Summer Readiness Projects
Summer will soon be here, and we’re sprucing up the Club to get ready! Look forward to a pair of NEW Pickleball courts as well as refreshed furnishings around the Pool, including new umbrellas and comfier cushions. While we’re setting the stage for summer fun, you can expect some court resurfacing projects and pool maintenance closures that may impact you for a short while. Here’s what’s happening over the next couple of weeks.
- Carmel Valley Tennis Courts 1 & 8 will be closed for an additional 2-3 weeks as we convert them into dedicated Pickleball Courts.
Please be advised of the following Pool & Pool Deck closures as we conduct regular maintenance and cleaning.
- This week! April 18-22: Carmel Valley Family Pool.
These dates are subject to change. We apologize for any inconvenience these closures may cause, but we’ll keep you updated on our progress.

Kids Yoga in the Fitness Studio with Tracy | Mondays & Wednesdays at 4:00 pm
JV Bootcamp in the Fitness Studio with Nick | Fridays at 4:00 pm
JV Bootcamp on the Lawn with Nick | Saturdays at 1:00 pm

Summer Camp Registration is Open!
Summer camp’s around the corner. What do your kids have planned? Bring ‘em here! There’ll be fun, games, and even specific sport-focused activities like tennis to instill your budding athletes with the skills, techniques, and strategies to play their best game. Court Sport Programs
Saturday, April 30 | 6:00 pm-8:00 pm
The perfect way to master your skills, get some helpful coaching tips, meet other players, and add a little friendly competition. This social will run in the Up & Down the River Format, and all players will get a chance to play with Professional Coach Ralph Acosta. Cost: $25 for members, $35 for non-members. Live Ball Clinics

Junior UTR tournaments are coming this month. This includes socials, tournaments, ladders, and junior match play. Click here and select “Request to Join” to join our UTR Club. When you join, you will be “pending” until accepted. Once you are accepted, you can register for UTR events.
Did you know recreational players can expect to burn between 400 and 500 calories an hour? One thing is for sure—you’ll definitely work up a sweat. Sports Stretching & Injury Prevention
Are you active in sports such as Basketball, Pickleball, Tennis, and Golf? Is it difficult to get your muscles and joints loose and moving? Train with Cedric Dujon to spend time specifically on stretching for pre-and post-workouts! Cedrick is a certified Ultimate Personal Trainer, a 17-time Iron Man Finisher, and a competitive bodybuilder. Pre/post-workout activities can help with the following:

Increase recovery time
Help your muscles work at full capacity
Decrease joint and muscle stiffness
