Important Updates from Your Club: San Diego

Dear Member,

As you plan your next visit to the Club, you’ll be excited to hear that general club reservations are no longer required–so drop on in whenever you can and stay for as long as you want! We look forward to seeing you.

Locker rooms are open! We hope you’ve enjoyed having the convenience of these spaces available, and expect steam rooms and saunas to reopen in the coming weeks.

Read on for a few answers to some of our members’ frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I need to make a reservation?
Club reservations are not required. Our expansive spaces and distanced equipment offer plenty of room to move around comfortably—and we have more than enough amenities to go around! However, we do recommend that you confirm your space in our more impacted group exercise classes through Bay Club Connect.

What is pickleball?
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It’s very easy to play and integrates all ages and abilities for gameplay–ranging from a competitive game to exercise to a group social. Come try it out! You might just find your next favorite activity.

Do I need a racquet membership to play pickleball?
All levels of membership have access to pickleball at Bay Club Carmel Valley! Be sure to check the schedule for open play on Court 8 and in the gymnasium.

Do I need my key fob to check-in?
As we continue to make things more convenient for our members, you no longer need key fobs! Simply scan your barcode from the Bay Club Connect mobile app to ensure the safety of your account and a quicker check-in process.

Why are the locker rooms closed mid-day?
We close the locker rooms daily for a deep clean; the Women’s Locker Room is closed from 1:00 pm-1:30 pm, and the Men’s Locker Room is closed from 1:45 pm-2:15 pm. We appreciate your cooperation as we strive to make the Club a clean and safe place for all.

When will the Spa and Shop reopen?
We don’t currently have a reopening date but will keep you informed of any updates.

A Final Note…
Our updated mask guidelines, in accordance with the department of health, are as follows: Masks are required to be worn indoors at all times unless you are actively exercising and practicing social distancing. When walking from one space to the next, your face covering must be worn.

While outdoors, masks are required when you are not able to maintain social distance from persons outside your household.

Should you have any questions, please reach out by replying to this email. Thank you for being a member of the Bay Club Community and we look forward to seeing you this week!

In health,
