Important Updates from Your Club: Walnut Creek

Dear Member,

As you plan your next visit to the Club, you’ll be excited to hear that general club reservations are no longer required–so drop on in whenever you can and stay for as long as you want! We look forward to seeing you.

Locker rooms are open! We hope you’ve enjoyed having the convenience of these spaces available, and expect steam rooms, saunas, and whirlpools to reopen this week.

Read on for a few answers to some of our members’ frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the hours? When are you extending operating hours?
Current operating hours are 6:00 am-8:00 pm daily. We continue to monitor usage patterns and will adjust hours as needed, for your convenience.

What are the swimming protocols? Do I need to reserve a lane?
Our pools are open and no longer require a reservation. Members can enter lanes on a first-come, first-serve basis. Swimmers can share a lane if they feel comfortable doing so while maintaining social distancing.

How are you handling recreational swim accommodations on the weekends?
In an effort to create more space for family swim, we remove lane lines on weekend afternoons. You have plenty of space for everyone to enjoy our pools.

What is the guest policy?
We have temporarily lifted our guest policy restrictions, meaning there is no limit on the number of visits for your guests. Guest access is permitted with a member present and with the use of a guest pass, or a $30 guest fee.

What are the childcare hours?

  • Monday-Friday, 9:00-11:30 am
  • Monday-Thursday, 4:30–7:00 pm
  • Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 am-12:00 pm

Are you keeping fitness equipment outside?
Yes, our plan is to keep an indoor/outdoor fitness experience for the foreseeable future. Our members have loved having the option to work out comfortably indoors, or in the fresh air and beautiful Walnut Creek weather!

Is basketball available for members to play?
Yes, members are currently able to play half-court games. We ask that members play with their face coverings on, and practice social distancing as much as possible.

How about racquetball and squash?
Both courts are open and are available for members to play.

What’s going on in Food and Beverage?
Our food and beverage offerings are as follows:

  • The café is open Sunday-Tuesday until 2:00 pm, and Wednesday–Saturday through 8:00 pm.
  • Our pool deck cabana bar is open on weekends. Come grab a refreshment and try some of Chef Travis’s great new menu items.

A Final Note…
Just a reminder that reservations are not required to visit. Our expansive spaces and distanced equipment offer plenty of room to move around comfortably—and we have more than enough amenities to go around! However, we do recommend that you confirm your space in our more impacted group exercise classes through Bay Club Connect.

Our updated mask guidelines, in accordance with the department of health, are as follows: Masks are required to be worn indoors at all times unless you are actively exercising and practicing social distancing. When walking from one space to the next, your face covering must be worn.

While outdoors, masks are required when you are not able to maintain social distance from persons outside your household.

Should you have any questions, please reach out by replying to this email. Thank you for being a member of the Bay Club Community and we look forward to seeing you this week!

In health,
