RESUMING OPERATIONS: LOS ANGELES

DEAR MEMBERS,

The Bay Club is excited to share the news with you that Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles County have recently approved Fitness Clubs to reopen, provided that they do so in compliance with new statewide guidelines, which have been established to keep both members and associates safe and healthy. Services have now resumed at all of our Southern California Clubs. We are thrilled to share this news with each of you and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Bay Club.

Over the past twelve weeks, our team has been working to develop and implement a broad range of protocols that help ensure the health and safety of our members and associates. We would like to use this opportunity to share with you some of the changes that you can expect to encounter as you return to your Club.

Managed Capacity
Specific capacities for each functional area of the Club have been established to ensure proper levels of physical distancing during your visit. Moving forward, all members are asked to make a reservation on our Bay Club Connect App on their smartphone, prior to their visit. For members without a reservation, access will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis, based on availability, provided that physical distancing protocols can be maintained.

Communication & Signage
Throughout the Club, you will encounter new signage and directives describing the protocols and practices which have been put in place. Please let us know if you have any questions. We are here to help in any way that we can.

Cleaning & Sanitization
We have increased our protocols for cleaning and sanitization, using EPA registered products which have been proven to be effective against the virus that causes COVID-19. Every Club has been deep cleaned prior to reopening. Fitness studios and equipment will be cleaned before and after each use. Personal sanitization supplies (hand sanitizer and disinfectant) will be available throughout the Club and frequent hand washing is recommended.

Physical Distancing
Protocols to ensure proper levels of physical distancing have been put in place throughout the Club, in accordance with both state and local county guidelines. Added staff will be on hand throughout the Club to assist members and ensure that these protocols are adhered to. Floor markers to direct queuing lines have been put in place in certain areas. Plexiglass safety shields have been installed at all welcome desks. Our check-in process is now touchless, and the use of the Bay Club Connect App will be required for check-in.

Health & Safety
Out of an abundance of caution, the Bay Club has instituted a protocol to check the temperature of all persons entering the Club each day, including associates, members, as well as vendors and service providers. Once you make a reservation to visit the Club, you will receive an email containing a consent form for this process. We ask that you complete this consent form prior to arrival on your smartphone or iPad, and then screenshot your completed acknowledgment to show to a team member when you check-in. Temperature checks will be completed prior to club entry, using a touchless infrared thermometer. Persons with a temperature over 100.4 degrees will be asked not to enter the Club.

Personal Protective Equipment
Associates have been provided with personal protective equipment, non-surgical masks, and disposable gloves, for use as needed in the course of their duties.

Members are expected to adhere to local county guidelines and the recommendations of local county health officers regarding the use of face coverings while in public when visiting the Club. Members are expected to wear a face-covering when entering the Club, when moving through the Club, and when near other persons. We ask that each member wipe down and sanitize any equipment that they use after each use.

Suspended Services
During this initial phase of reopening, certain services, which do not lend themselves easily to physical distancing may remain suspended. Members can expect that we will revisit the activation of these services over time, in conjunction with local county guidance.

Day Camps for Children
Day camps for children ages 3-17 are available across our Southern California Clubs. Please see our website for more information.

Membership Dues
In our May 1 communication, we noted that your Club membership will automatically be reactivated when services have resumed and made available to you. Given our ability to have services resume, we have activated all of the Bay Club memberships in Los Angeles.

We realize that this is an unprecedented time for all of our members, and everyone has a unique circumstance.
