TENNIS CLUB TRANSITION: REMINDER

DEAR MEMBERS,

With September now here, we wanted to remind you that the final day of operations for the San Francisco Tennis Club is September 15, 2020. We hope you have been able to enjoy the rooftop courts and/or engaged in activities at our numerous locations in San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, Contra Costa, Alameda, and Santa Clara counties.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR TENNIS WITH SFTC ENDING OPERATIONS?

The Bay Club will continue to operate a large inventory of courts in Marin (Ross Valley), San Francisco (Gateway), Peninsula (Broadway & Redwood Shores), East Bay (Pleasanton & Fremont), and South Bay (Courtside & Santa Clara). In addition, new court offerings will be available in South San Francisco at the Cow Palace site, located at the intersection of Geneva & Carter.

MORE DETAILS ON OUR SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO LOCATION AT THE COW PALACE:

As we continue to grow our sports offerings, our South San Francisco location will include two side-by-side buildings, with court offerings in excess of 70,000 sqft. Projected to open on or before October 1, 2020, the new site will have a similar look and feel to our Broadway Tennis location in Burlingame. If you’re interested in seeing the facility, we will be starting Open House tours in September 2020—we will be in touch with specific details.

IMPACT FOR SAN FRANCISCO TENNIS CLUB OR CLUB WEST MEMBERS:

As an SFTC or Club West member, here’s what the South San Francisco location means for you, as well as what you can expect from the transition during our final days at SFTC:

  • SFTC Lifetime & Sterling memberships will be honored at South San Francisco
  • Single Site SFTC Tennis memberships will be honored at South San Francisco
  • Single Site SFTC Fitness memberships will be honored at Bay Club San Francisco
  • Court fee structures from SFTC will be similar at South San Francisco
  • No parking fees will be charged at South San Francisco
  • Club West benefits for Sapphire, Diamond, Platinum, and Gold will remain the same

WHAT IF I HAVE BELONGINGS IN MY LOCKER AT SFTC?

Members must have all personal items removed from permanent lockers at SFTC by no later than September 15, 2020. Management will reach out to all members who have belongings in lockers to assist in accessing your personal items.

We are glad to see so many members back on the courts and we will be sure to keep you updated with details as we get closer to opening our South San Francisco location.
