The Quad Marin Clubs: August 5, 2024

Dear Member,

Welcome to The Quad, your bi-monthlyClub newsletter that covers all things happening at the Bay Club, plus a little extra. Loving it? Not loving it? Hit reply and let us know.

In our last edition, we talked all about the importance of recovery and the Recovery Centers that we’re rolling out across our portfolio of Clubs. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and many members had questions. Let’s dive in and answer them!

Q: Which Clubs currently have Recovery Centers?
If you can believe it, we’ve opened 4 more Recovery spaces since the last email edition. As of today, we have Recovery Centers in San Francisco (Greenwich Street), Marin (Corte Madera Town Center), Walnut Creek, Fremont, Courtside, El Segundo, and Carmel Valley.

Q: Are there more Recovery Centers being added?
Yes! The next Clubs slated for Recovery Centers are Pleasanton, Santa Clara, Redwood Shores, and Portland.

Q: Is there a fee to use the Recovery equipment?
While it is common practice to charge for these types of services, we do not. Recovery is complementary with your membership.

Q: Is there someone to help me with the Recovery amenities?
The goal is to relax and rejuvenate, so we want to make sure you feel supported. Although the equipment is simple to use, we’ve provided clear signage with instructions, and our staff members are always available to assist you.

Q: Remind me of the benefits of recovery?
Passive recovery allows your body to heal and restore. The amenities in our Recovery Centers help speed up your recovery time between workouts, reduce muscle tension, promote circulation, improve flexibility, and reduce stress. If you take the time for recovery, your body, mind, and spirit will thank you. Find more details at here!

For a few alternative suggestions on how to add some much-needed R&R to your life, here are my favorite options right now:

  • Drop the kids at camp. We still have summer sessions available, including our new single-day options. They are the best for when you need a last-minute solution that will entertain your crew.
  • Watch the Olympics. Celebrating these incredible athletic achievements has a universal effect of fostering connection and inspiration. As of Sunday evening PST, Team USA had won 78 medals and remained atop the podium with the most number of medals overall. Go USA!
  • Listen to a podcast. My favorite podcast is The Doctor’s Farmacy with Mark Hyman. His latest episode #929 is an unbelievable listen all about lifestyle habits that lead to dementia.

Whether it’s Recovery Centers, The Doctors Farmacy, or a simple moment of solitude, make the most of your health by exploring all the ways to restore your body and mind.
